By the end of 2017 we distributed over 6,000 treasures to NICUs all over the country, and Cancer Centers and Children’s Hospitals locally. By the end of 2018, that number reached 10,000 items from the tiniest hats and angel wraps to blankets and shawls. Without the help of volunteers who are very near and dear to my heart this could not be accomplished. Thank you is not nearly big enough.
This year we already have accomplished many new ways of helping. Knitted Knockers both individual requests and hospital requests are increasing. Gifts to Trauma Centers to bring comfort to children preparing for procedures and surgeries. Angel wraps, crocheted and knitted cradles, and gowns have been given to Bereavement groups in NICUs to help comfort families in a most difficult time. All of these are in addition to the heart pillows, hats, blankets and we will continue to help meet the requests we receive. We are also growing in volunteer friendships who reach out wanting to pay back with their talents. We need your help! If you enjoy crocheting, knitting, sewing, we need you. If you enjoy labeling and packaging on our shipping days, we need you. If you enjoy one-time group service projects, we need you.
